CES 2009: Minoru Web Camera Lets You Chat in Three Dimensions

The Manchester, UK-based company Novo just released their Minoru 3D web camera.  Two cameras create a stereophonic image which renders web video in 3D.  You'll need 3D glasses to see the effect; the camera comes with five pairs but any standard 3D glasses will do.

Minoru plugs into any USB port and works with Skype and YouTube, as well as many instant messengers like MSN Live, AOL Instant Messenger, OoVoo, and more.  The camera also functions just fine in 2D, with the added ability to do split-screen web video in that mode. 

Okay, and it looks a bit like Wall-E leaning over the top of your monitor screen.  You gotta love that:
