Asus Debuts the Slim and Luxurious S121 Netbook
Asus adds a touch of class to its lineup with the snazzy S121 netbook. Featuring a leather palmrest and Swarovski crystal-encrusted hinges for its 12.1" display, the S121 packs a 512GB solid-state drive--currently the largest flash hard drive on the market--that boasts transfer rates that are twice as fast as competing SSD drives, and 3 times faster than traditional hard drives.
It's certainly compact, ranging between .75" to 1" in thickness and weighing in at 3 pounds. An efficient Atom Z520 processor allows the S121 to go up to 8 hours on a single charge. Look for it at the end of Q1 2009 for $1649.
